THE HARMS OF CONSUMING FAST FOOD IN CHILDREN

Fast food, unfortunately, is a food group that children love and prefer. Fast food style nutrition negatively affects our health in the future. In the future, children who consume fast food foods from a young age; they are much more likely to encounter obesity and weight problems, cardiovascular diseases, and many physical ailments than healthy-fed children. Parents have important duties in order for the child to adopt a healthy diet.

Among the health problems and complications that children who eat badly in the fast food style may experience in the long term include:

• Consuming foods high in cardiovascular diseases, fat, sugar, and salt leads to the development of high cholesterol, high blood pressure and atherosclerosis in adulthood.
• Type 2 diabetes is linked to being overweight in children, physical inactivity, and a family history of type 2 diabetes.

Some respiratory problems, such as asthma, are more common in overweight children.
Complications of being overweight include liver problems, problems with hip development (slipped femoral epiphysis), gallstones, early puberty and polycystic ovary syndrome.

Your child's doctor will regularly screen for signs of these health problems. Collaborate with your child's doctor to make sure your child gets the best possible medical care.

You cannot separate the child's relationship with food from their own state of health. Guide your child to eat with healthy food options. Do not decide on your child's weight gain or weight loss diet yourself, contact a specialist dietician.
