Infectious diseases unit deals with diseases caused by bacteria and viruses in adults, in any part of our body or in any organ.

A wide range of diseases, from flu to meningitis, urinary tract infections to hepatitis, diarrhea, food poisoning and parasitic diseases, fall within the sphere of infectious diseases. In addition, the separation and evaluation of non-infectious diseases with high fever, and then referring patients to the relevant departments are among the affairs of the infectious diseases unit.

Infectious Diseases unit also carries out the necessary studies to control and monitor hospital infections and to minimize these infections; provides trainings to patients, patient relatives and related personnel. In infection control studies, conscious, appropriate and effective use of antibiotics also has a special place.
