Specialist Dietitian Özge DİNÇ told the news agency what we should pay attention to in order to protect our health on New Year's tables.

A heavy New Year's menu can lead to stomach problems, health problems such as blood pressure, hypoglycaemia. For this reason, I recommend that you buy as much food as you can and provide a portion control.

Consuming foods that you have never consumed before in large tables set up for the New Year may trigger an allergy you do not know. Allergic reactions can sometimes cause fatal causes.

I recommend you to stay away from what you have not eaten before, especially in nuts and seafood.

Nuts, which are indispensable for New Year's tables, are the most important foods that can lead to weight gain if the portion quantity is not adjusted correctly. Avoiding high amounts, unroasted (raw) ones should be preferred.

I wish everyone a healthy and happy birthday.
